Farnborough International Airshow 2026: Driving the Future of Aerospace Manufacturing

30 July 2026

The 2026 edition of the Farnborough International Airshow has come to an end, once again confirming its role as one of the world’s leading events for the aerospace industry. Bringing together aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, institutions and industry leaders from across the globe, Farnborough continues to be the place where innovation, strategic partnerships and the future of aerospace manufacturing converge.

This year’s exhibition highlighted many of the trends currently shaping the industry. The growing demand for higher production rates, increasingly complex components, digital manufacturing, automation, artificial intelligence and sustainable industrial processes were among the key topics discussed throughout the event. At the same time, the aerospace and defense sectors continue to invest in new aircraft programmes and advanced propulsion systems, creating new opportunities while raising the standards required throughout the manufacturing supply chain.

Against this backdrop, Gruppo Parpas welcomed numerous Customers, partners and new companies interested in exploring advanced machining solutions for the aerospace industry.

Over five days of meetings and technical discussions, we had the opportunity to exchange ideas on current manufacturing challenges and future projects, strengthening existing relationships while establishing new ones. Many conversations focused on two of today’s most demanding aerospace applications: structural components and engine components.

For structural machining, visitors showed strong interest in our high-dynamic Gantry solutions, developed to ensure outstanding geometrical accuracy, process stability and productivity, even when machining large aluminium and composite structures. Engine manufacturing also attracted considerable attention. Our dedicated technologies for blade machining demonstrated how advanced machine architecture, full linear drives and integrated process control can deliver the accuracy, repeatability and surface quality required for titanium, nickel-based superalloys and other advanced materials used in modern aero engines and power generation systems.

Beyond the technologies themselves, Farnborough represented an invaluable opportunity to discuss the future of manufacturing. Throughout the exhibition, conversations consistently highlighted the same objective: improving productivity while maintaining uncompromising quality and process reliability. Achieving this requires more than high-performance machine tools. It requires integrated technologies capable of ensuring stable, predictable and repeatable manufacturing processes over time.

For Gruppo Parpas, participating in international events such as Farnborough is about far more than showcasing technology. It is an opportunity to listen to the market, understand the evolving needs of aerospace manufacturers and transform those insights into innovative solutions that create tangible value for our Customers.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth and took the time to discuss their projects, manufacturing challenges and future opportunities with us.

A special thank you also goes to all our colleagues whose expertise, commitment and passion contributed to the success of the exhibition, as well as to our UK partner Leader CNC Technologies for their valuable support and collaboration throughout the event.

While Farnborough 2026 has come to an end, the conversations started during these five days are only the beginning. The relationships strengthened, the new connections established and the projects discussed will continue to inspire our commitment to developing technologies that enable the next generation of aerospace manufacturing.
