At AMB Stuttgart, SHARK ONE provided a practical starting point for discussions about machining operations, configurations and production choices. From September 15 to 19, Gruppo Parpas attended the exhibition alongside colleagues from Parpas Deutschland, meeting Customers and industry professionals and presenting its moving-column platform live.
Five days dedicated to technical exchange, with opportunities to examine the machine up close and explore the requirements of different applications. A machine builder’s contribution takes shape in the connection between a platform’s capabilities and the work it will need to perform.
One Platform, Multiple Machining Options
At the centre of the booth, SHARK ONE brought together the themes that shaped Gruppo Parpas communications throughout the exhibition: maximum accuracy and flexibility.
Its box-in-box structure is one of the machine’s core design features. This is complemented by a wide range of machining heads and the option to integrate milling and turning tables. The platform can therefore be configured for 3-axis and 5-axis machining, as well as multitasking applications, according to production requirements.
A platform’s flexibility takes shape through its available configurations: heads, tables and machining options to be assessed against the requirements of the components being produced.
For anyone selecting a machining centre, these options require careful assessment. Materials, geometries, surface accessibility and the sequence of operations all help determine the appropriate configuration. Each choice must relate to the process: which operations to perform, how to organise the cycle and which part requirements to maintain.
SHARK ONE supports this approach with a configurable platform for applications including general engineering, mould and die, and power generation. Versatility delivers value when the machine’s capabilities match actual production needs.
The Value of Technical Exchange
At AMB, the Gruppo Parpas team discussed production requirements, applications and projects for further development with Customers and industry professionals. The machine on display gave these discussions a physical reference, making it easier to move from technical descriptions to direct observation.
An exhibition provides an opportunity to begin assessments that will require further investigation. Component drawings, materials and production constraints remain the foundations of a technical proposal.
Selecting a machining centre requires an understanding of how the machine’s characteristics, the component’s geometry and the organisation of the production cycle work together.
For Gruppo Parpas, technical guidance starts with this relationship. Understanding the capabilities of its platforms enables the team to discuss alternatives, identify aspects requiring verification and support Customers in defining the right solution.
After Stuttgart, the Work Continues
Participation was made possible by the work of the Gruppo Parpas team and colleagues from Parpas Deutschland, who welcomed visitors and contributed to the technical discussions.
AMB provided the setting to present SHARK ONE and exchange ideas and projects. The next steps involve examining applications in detail, with the time and information needed to develop an initial discussion into an engineering assessment.
Discussions initiated at the exhibition continue through application analysis: components, machining operations and production constraints provide the foundation for defining a solution suited to the task.
Thank you to the Customers, partners and professionals who visited our booth and took the time to speak with our team.
